# Poshmark troubleshooting

Fix Poshmark Automation problems. Share jail, sharing or relisting stopped, offers, likes, Just In, captcha, vacation mode and closet connection.

Quick fixes for the Poshmark Automation questions we hear most in live chat.

## Start with three quick checks

* ✅ **No red banner on the Automations page.** If you see "Attention! Your Poshmark closet is not connected", click **Connect My Closet** and connect again.
* ✅ **The automation is switched on.** Every automation starts switched off. Switch on the ones you want on the [**Automations page**](https://app.primelister.com/automations/poshmark/settings).
* ✅ **The Activity page shows tasks.** Check **Statistics** for today. **Completed** lists every task.

## Sharing

### Share jail

**Why:** Shares stopped or the count is stuck because Poshmark paused sharing for a few hours after your closet did too much in a day. Poshmark sends no notice.

**Fix:** The pause lifts on its own and sharing restarts automatically. Keep these together under **12,000** a day: **Share**, **Community Share**, **Party Share**, **Return Share**, **Return Follow** and **Follow New Closets**. A very high **Community Share** or **Follow New Closets** limit is the most common cause.

A safe starting mix:

* **Share**: **4,000** a day.
* **Community Share**: **1,500** a day.
* **Party Share**: **2,000** per themed day party and **2,000** per evening party.
* **Return Share**: **750** a day.
* **Total**: **10,250** a day.

Closets that list and sell more get a higher limit over time.

### No shares are running right now

**Why:** Share runs only in the **Sharing Hours** you turned on. Most closets keep the night hours off so sharing looks natural. Sharing also pauses briefly while a Re-list or offer task runs.

**Fix:** Check your **Sharing Hours**. After a Re-list or offer task, sharing continues on its own.

### All my daily shares ran early in the day

**Fix:** Your shares are split across the hours you turned on. Lower the **Hourly Share Limit** of each hour in **Hourly Sharing Preferences** to spread them out. See [Share](/poshmark-automation/poshmark-automations.md#share).

### When do Community Shares run?

There is no fixed start time. Community Shares are spread across the day.

### Share order looks random

This is how the two automations work. **Share** shares from the bottom of your closet to the top, so your closet keeps its order. **Party Share** shares only the items that match the party, so it does not keep your closet order.

### Party Share is not running

**Why:** **Share listings from selected categories during the open-theme evening party** is on with no categories picked, so nothing matches.

**Fix:** Pick your categories or switch it off.

### Poshmark asks "Are you a human?" or shows a captcha

**Why:** Sharing by hand or with another tool while the automation shares triggers Poshmark's checks and counts toward your daily total.

**Fix:** Let the automation do the sharing. See [Account safety](/getting-started/account-safety.md).

### I don't see the shares in my Poshmark notifications

**Fix:** Check the [**Activity page**](https://app.primelister.com/automations/poshmark/activity) instead. Every share, follow and offer is listed under **Completed**.

## Re-list

### Re-list is not relisting anything

**Why:** No item matches your filters. Common causes are a **Filter by age (in days) of listing** higher than the age of your items, or a **Filter by number of likes** or **Filter by price range** that leaves nothing.

**Fix:**

1. Check that **Re-list** is switched on and that you turned on some **Re-listing Hours**.
2. Check your filters. We recommend an age filter of **3 or 7 days**.

### Some items are never relisted

**Why:** Re-list only relists the number you set per hour. Items with an active offer are skipped while **Exclude listings with an active offer** is on, and items under **Relist Exclusions** are never relisted.

**Fix:**

1. Check your hourly limit.
2. Check **Exclude listings with an active offer**.
3. Check **Relist Exclusions**.

### Why isn't my relisted item under Just In?

**Poshmark keeps its own date for every item.** Relisting works from 3 days old, and your relisted item goes live in your closet and in search as usual. When an item that was listed in the last 60 days is relisted, Poshmark sometimes keeps its original internal date, so the new listing does not show under **Just In**.

* **The relist worked.** The old listing is removed and a brand new one is posted. Buyers find it in your closet, in search and in your followers' feeds.
* **When Poshmark skips Just In**: most often when the item was listed less than 60 days ago and the relist is an exact copy (same photos, title, description and size).
* **Not a PrimeLister issue.** Poshmark applies this rule to every relist from any tool, including its own copy feature.
* **To get Just In on a newer item**, change its **photos**, **title**, **description** or **size** before it is relisted.
* **Use a 3 day or 7 day age filter.** Relisting often keeps items fresh in search, even on days Poshmark skips Just In.

### My likes are gone

**Why:** Each relist makes a brand new listing, so likes do not move to it and cannot be restored.

**Fix:**

1. Turn on **Filter by number of likes** and set it to **0** to relist only items without likes.
2. Use **Auto Refresh Listings** in Smart Activity to move liked items up and keep their likes.

### I see duplicate listings

Re-list removes the old listing right after it creates the new one, so a leftover copy is rare. Use the free [Find Duplicates](/free-tools/find-duplicates.md) tool to find any leftovers.

## Offers and bundles

### Offers went out on items I didn't want

**Why:** Every rule under **Offer Rules** has its own filters. If you added **Rule 2**, it needs its own filters too.

**Fix:**

1. Set the same filters in every rule, for example **Filter by current price of listing**.
2. Add items to **Offer Exclusions** to keep them out of every rule.

### Offers still go out after I turned off Offer to Likers

**Why:** Bundle offers come from **Bundle Creation**.

**Fix:** Switch off **Enable Bundle Offers**, or switch off Bundle Creation.

### No offer was sent after a like

**Why:** Items outside your rule filters, for example **Filter by age (in days) of listing**, get no offer. Offers go out after your **Offer Delay**, sometimes a few minutes later.

**Fix:** Check your rule filters and give it a few minutes after the delay.

### Which discount works best?

Many sellers get good results with **20% to 30% off** plus a **$4.99** or **Free** shipping offer.

## Connecting your closet

### Attention! Your Poshmark closet disconnected. Re-connect to continue using Poshmark Automation.

**Why:** PrimeLister can no longer sign in, often after a Poshmark password change.

**Fix:** Click **Re-Connect My Closet** and sign in again. Your settings are kept.

### Authentication failed

**Fix:** Log in to Poshmark with the same email or username and password. If that works, use exactly the same details in PrimeLister.

### The verification code does not arrive

**Why:** Poshmark sends the code to the phone number on your Poshmark account, not to PrimeLister. Your carrier may block the SMS, or Poshmark may limit the codes it sends to your number.

**Fix:**

1. Check the phone number on your Poshmark account in the Poshmark app under **Account Info**.
2. If needed, change it to another working number and wait 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Connect your closet in PrimeLister again and enter the code quickly.
4. Once connected, you can switch the phone number back.

Don't keep requesting new codes. Every request adds to Poshmark's limit.

### The closet is already connected to another account

**Fix:** Your closet is still linked to another PrimeLister account, for example an old one. [Chat with our team](/help-center/contact-support.md) to unlink it, then connect it again.

### I sign in to Poshmark with Apple, Google or Facebook

**Fix:** PrimeLister connects with your email or username and a Poshmark password, so [set a Poshmark password](#set-a-poshmark-password) first.

### I picked the wrong marketplace

**Fix:** Connect again and pick the right one under **Marketplace**, for example **Poshmark (US)**.

### I want to connect another closet

Use the same PrimeLister account.

* **On a free trial**: you can connect 1 closet. Subscribe first with **Subscribe Now** on **Account > Plans & Billing**.
* **On a paid plan**: raise your **Closet Capacity** with **Update Plan** on **Account > Plans & Billing**, then click **Connect Additional Closets**.

### I want to connect another marketplace

Poshmark Automation works with Poshmark closets only. eBay, Depop and Mercari each have their own automation product that you add to the same PrimeLister account. ## Set a Poshmark password

If you sign in to Poshmark with Apple, Google or Facebook, set a Poshmark password first. PrimeLister connects with it.

Open it on Poshmark: [US](https://poshmark.com/user/account-info) or [Canada](https://poshmark.ca/user/account-info).

Click **Change Password** and enter the verification code you receive.

### Set a new password

Choose your new Poshmark password.

## Other questions

### Do I need to keep my computer on?

No. Poshmark Automation runs in PrimeLister's cloud 24/7. Only Crosslister Tool uses the [Chrome extension](/getting-started/chrome-extension.md) on your computer.

### Automations stopped running

**Why:** Your closet may be in **vacation mode** on Poshmark. While it is, all your automations stop.

**Fix:** Turn vacation mode off. Your automations start again on their own, usually within an hour. Nothing to change in PrimeLister.

### Your subscription expired

Automations pause when the subscription expires. Renew on **Account > Plans & Billing**. Your settings are kept. See [Billing and payments](/subscriptions/billing-and-payments.md).

### The Statistics numbers look off

Stats may be inaccurate for up to 24 hours after you change a setting. Check again after 24 hours.

### Poshmark suspended my listing privileges

While the suspension lasts, PrimeLister pauses listing tasks for that closet. Nothing to do in PrimeLister. Listing tasks start again once Poshmark lifts the suspension.

### My inventory shows fewer items than my closet

Nothing to fix. The inventory belongs to Crosslister Tool. Poshmark Automation works on your live Poshmark closet directly, so it does not need your inventory.
