# Sync and import listings

Bring your listings into PrimeLister Crosslister Tool with Sync or Import, and let Auto-Merge join copies of the same item into one inventory row.

Sync and Import bring the listings you already have on your marketplaces into your PrimeLister Crosslister Tool inventory. Auto-Merge then joins copies of the same item, so each item is one row you can crosslist, edit and delist from one place.

## Sync or Import?

* **Sync**: brings in all active listings from the marketplaces you pick, several at once. Best for your first setup.
* **Import**: brings in only the listings you pick, one marketplace at a time.
* **Auto Sync**: runs once a day on its own. See [Auto Sync](/crosslister-tool/auto-sync.md).

None of them change your live listings.

## How to sync your listings

### Click Sync

On the [**Inventory**](https://app.primelister.com/inventory) page, click **Sync** (**Sync Listings** on an empty inventory). **Select Marketplaces to Sync** opens.

### Pick your marketplaces

Every connected marketplace is listed and ticked, some with a count such as **\~174 listings**. Untick the ones you do not want, or use **Deselect All** and **Select All**. A marketplace marked **Action Required** has a connection problem: hover it to see the error, then fix it on [**My Shops**](https://app.primelister.com/my-shops).

### Start the sync

Click the button, for example **Sync (2)**. The sync runs in the background, so you can keep working.

### Follow the sync

* Under the **Inventory** title you see which marketplace is syncing and the time left, for example "Syncing from Mercari... (\~5m remaining)". Hover **+1 more** for the others.
* Click "New listings synced. Click to refresh." to load the newest listings.
* Follow each marketplace in **Processing tasks** at the bottom right, or on the [**Tasks**](https://app.primelister.com/tasks) page.
* When it is done, you see **Your inventory sync is complete**. Click **Go to inventory** or **Maybe later**.

### Which marketplaces sync

Poshmark (US), Poshmark (CA), eBay, Mercari, Depop, Etsy, Grailed and Shopify. Facebook Marketplace listings come in with **Import**.

## Import listings

### Click Import

On the [**Inventory**](https://app.primelister.com/inventory) page, click **Import** and choose **Poshmark (US)**, **Poshmark (CA)**, **Mercari**, **Depop**, **eBay**, **Etsy**, **Shopify**, **Facebook** or **Grailed**. A window such as **Import from Mercari** opens.

### Hide what you already have

Turn on **Hide Imported Listings** at the bottom. If everything is in, you see **All Listings Imported**.

### Select listings

Tick the listings you want, or use **Search** to find them.

Click the button, for example **Import 2 Listings**.

## Auto-Merge and Merge Listings

Auto-Merge joins the same item listed on several marketplaces into one inventory row. That lets [Auto Delisting](/crosslister-tool/auto-delisting.md) remove the other copies when it sells. You don't merge anything by hand: you only review the result.

### How Auto-Merge works

* It runs a few minutes after a sync finishes, whether you click **Sync** or [Auto Sync](/crosslister-tool/auto-sync.md) runs.
* It compares photos plus the SKU or title, and AI double-checks each match.
* Two copies that are both live on the same marketplace are not merged.
* After a big sync it can merge in more than one round, so the **Auto-merged** count can go up for a few minutes.
* Listings you add with **Import** are checked at your next sync.
* Items imported before July 2026 may not be matched yet. Use [**Merge Listings**](#merge-listings-yourself) for those.

The first time, the **Auto-merge is here** window explains it: click **Review N Merges**. After a sync that merged something, the [**Inventory**](https://app.primelister.com/inventory) page shows "Your last sync merged N items listed on more than one marketplace". Click **Review Merges**, or **Dismiss**.

### Open the Auto-merged tab

Open the **Auto-merged** tab next to **All Listings**, or click **Review Merges**. The top shows when the merges happened, for example "Merged during Today at 6:39 AM sync". The tab has three filters: **To check**, **Confirmed** and **Unmerged**.

### Check the items in To check

New merges come in two groups:

* **Listings have differences**: price, size, condition or brand differ. Check these first.
* **No differences found**: safe to confirm together.

### Open a row to compare

Click a row to see each listing's **PRICE**, **SIZE**, **CONDITION** and **UPDATED** date. **Main** marks the main listing. Condition names differ by marketplace, so **Pre-owned - Excellent** on eBay and **Good** on Poshmark can be the same item.

### Keep or unmerge

* **✓ (Looks right · Keep merged)**: the item moves to **Confirmed**. You can still unmerge it later with **✕**.
* **✕ (Not the same · Unmerge into separate items)**: keep **Don't merge these again on future syncs** ticked and click **Unmerge Into N Items**. The item moves to **Unmerged**. Each listing stays live as a separate item.

### Confirm the rest

Under **No differences found**, click **Confirm All N Without Differences**. When nothing is left, you see "All merges checked."

Changed your mind? On **Unmerged**, click **Merge again** (with **Undo** if needed). Pairs that are not merged yet show **Same item · Merge them**.

Only for copies Auto-Merge did not merge:

On the [**Inventory**](https://app.primelister.com/inventory) page, tick the items on **All Listings**.

Open **More Actions** in the bar at the bottom and choose **Merge Listings**.

The **MARKETPLACES** column shows every store the item is on.

## Link one listing to an existing item

To add a matching listing from another marketplace without syncing:

On the [**Inventory**](https://app.primelister.com/inventory) page, click the arrow next to the item.

### Click Add marketplace

Under the marketplace lines, click **Add marketplace**.

### Paste the listing link

PrimeLister detects the marketplace and links the listing to this item.

## If something goes wrong

* **Unable to Retrieve Listings**: check the connection on [**My Shops**](https://app.primelister.com/my-shops). If it still fails, [chat with our support team](/help-center/contact-support.md).
* **Sync did not bring in everything**: run **Sync** again, or use [Import](#import-listings) for specific listings.
* **The same item shows as several rows**: Auto-Merge merges copies after your next sync. You can also [merge them yourself](#merge-listings-yourself).

## FAQ

### Does syncing use my free trial tasks?

No. Sync, Import and Auto Sync do not count. Only crosslisting tasks count toward the 100 tasks in your free trial.

### How long does a sync take?

A store with a few hundred listings can take 20 to 40 minutes. Listings appear while it runs.

### Does Auto-Merge delete any listings?

No. Every listing stays live on its marketplace. Only the rows in your inventory are merged.

### Can I sync Facebook Marketplace listings?

Use **Import** for Facebook Marketplace. Sync covers the other marketplaces.
