# Depop troubleshooting

Fix Depop Automation problems: magic link used or expired, email not arriving, 2FA error, store disconnected, likes reset and automations not running.

**Most connection problems have one cause: the magic link was clicked before it was copied.** A magic link works only once. Opening it, or even a preview of it, uses it up. In the Depop email, **copy** the link of the **Log in to Depop** button and paste it into PrimeLister. Don't click it.

## Start with two quick checks

* ✅ **No red banner on the Automations page.** "Attention! Your Depop shop is not connected" means PrimeLister can't reach your Depop shop. Click **Connect My Shop** and connect again.
* ✅ **The automation is switched on.** Every automation starts switched off. Switch on the ones you want on the [**Automations page**](https://app.primelister.com/automations/depop/settings).

## Connecting your store

### Your magic link was already used

**Why:** Magic links work once.

**Fix:** Click **Resend magic link** and copy the new link without clicking it. See [Get started with Depop Automation](/depop-automation/get-started.md#step-1-connect-your-depop-store).

### Apple's link preview used your magic link

**Why:** iPhone opens a preview when you long-press, and the preview uses up the link.

**Fix:**

1. Long-press any link and tap **Hide preview** once.
2. Click **Resend magic link**.
3. Copy the new link and paste it into PrimeLister.

### The link expired

**Why:** Magic links expire after 10 minutes.

**Fix:** Request a new one and paste it right away.

### The magic link email never arrives

**Fix:**

1. Wait 1 to 2 minutes and check your spam folder.
2. Make sure you entered the email or username you sign in to Depop with.
3. Click **Resend magic link**.

### Please enter a valid Depop magic link URL

**Why:** You pasted something other than the full link.

**Fix:** Copy the link of the **Log in to Depop** button again. It starts with depop.com/login/magic-link.

### Your Depop account has 2FA enabled but no SMS verification method is set up

**Why:** 2FA must be off to connect. Adding SMS does not help.

**Fix:** Turn off two-factor authentication in your Depop account settings, then connect again.

### Couldn't connect your shop

**Fix:** Go back, request a new magic link and paste it again.

### I connected the wrong Depop account

**Fix:** Request a new magic link with the email or username of the right store and copy it without clicking it.

## After you connect

### Your Depop shop disconnected

**Fix:** Reconnect it on the [**Shops page**](https://app.primelister.com/automations/depop/my-shops) with a new magic link. Your settings are kept.

### Your Depop session has expired

**Why:** Depop sometimes ends sessions for security. We email you when it happens.

**Fix:** Reconnect on the [**Shops page**](https://app.primelister.com/automations/depop/my-shops) with a new magic link. Your settings are kept.

### Depop Automation Tool paused due to your expired subscription

**Fix:** Click **Renew My Subscription**, or renew on **Account > Plans & Billing**. Your settings are kept. See [Billing and payments](/subscriptions/billing-and-payments.md).

### No activity yet

**Why:** Re-list runs only in the **Re-listing Hours** you turned on. Offer to Likers waits for a new like and your **Offer Delay**.

**Fix:** On the [**Automations page**](https://app.primelister.com/automations/depop/settings), check that the automation is switched on.

### My listing lost its likes

**Why:** This is how Re-list works. Each relist creates a brand new listing, so likes start from zero.

**Fix:** Turn on **Filter by number of likes** or add the listing to **Relist Exclusions**. See [Depop automations](/depop-automation/depop-automations.md).

### I want to connect another marketplace

**Why:** Depop Automation works with Depop stores only.

**Fix:** Poshmark, eBay and Mercari each have their own automation product. Add it to the same PrimeLister account. See [Poshmark Automation](/poshmark-automation/get-started.md), [eBay Automation](/ebay-automation/get-started.md) or [Mercari Automation](/mercari-automation/get-started.md).

## Other questions

### Do I need to keep my computer on?

No. Depop Automation runs in PrimeLister's cloud 24/7. Only Crosslister Tool uses the [Chrome extension](/getting-started/chrome-extension.md) on your computer.

### I want to connect another store

Use the same PrimeLister account.

* **On a free trial**: you can connect 1 store. Subscribe first with **Subscribe Now** on **Account > Plans & Billing**.
* **On a paid plan**: raise the number of stores with **Update Plan** on **Account > Plans & Billing**, then click **Connect Additional Shops**.
