# Get started with Mercari Automation

Set up Mercari Automation in 3 steps. Connect your Mercari store, turn on Re-list and Offer to Likers, and check your activity. Runs in the cloud, $15 per month with a 7-day free trial.

Mercari Automation keeps your Mercari store active 24/7. It relists stale listings so buyers keep seeing them, and sends offers to people who liked your items.

**Your computer can be off.** Mercari Automation runs in PrimeLister's cloud 24/7. You do not need the Chrome extension, an open browser tab or the app running. Closing your browser or turning off your computer or phone does not stop your automations.

**Mercari Automation is its own subscription.** It is not included in Crosslister Tool, Poshmark Automation, eBay Automation or Depop Automation. Crosslister Tool lists your items **on** Mercari. Mercari Automation keeps them **active** once they are there.

## Step 1: Connect your Mercari store

### Open My Shops and click Connect Shop

Go to [My Shops](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/my-shops) in Mercari Automation and click **Connect Shop**. The **Connect Mercari** window walks you through three steps: **Sign in**, **Enter code** and **Confirm**.

### Sign in to Mercari

Enter your **Mercari email** and **Mercari password**, then click **Connect**. PrimeLister shows **Signing in to Mercari**. Leave the window open, it takes a few seconds.

### Enter your code

Mercari sends a 6-digit code to you, not to PrimeLister. Enter it and click **Verify**. No code? Wait for the timer, then click **Send it again**.

### Check that it says Connected

You see **Mercari shop connected successfully!** and your store shows **Connected** on My Shops.

**Your account stays safe.** PrimeLister signs in for you in a secure cloud browser with 256-bit encryption, the same way you would. You can disconnect your store any time. See [Account safety](/getting-started/account-safety.md).

### Turn off your Mercari passkey

Do this only if Mercari asks for a passkey, Face ID or fingerprint instead of your password, or if the password field never appears after you enter your email.

### Open Login & security on Mercari

On the Mercari website, click your profile picture > **Settings** > **Login & security**. Or open [mercari.com/mypage/security](https://www.mercari.com/mypage/security/) directly.

### Remove your passkey

Under **Passkeys**, remove every passkey. When no passkey is left, you only see **Set up passkey**.

### Test your password

Sign out of Mercari and sign in again with your email and password. If you do not know your password, reset it on Mercari first.

### Connect again

Go back to [My Shops](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/my-shops) and connect your store.

**Keep the passkey off.** If you add a passkey again later, PrimeLister may not be able to sign in when your store needs to reconnect.

### Manage your store

Your store shows on [My Shops](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/my-shops) with its status.

| **Disconnected**   | Connect your store again from My Shops. Remove your passkey first if you added one |
| **Three-dot menu** | Click **Remove Shop** to disconnect a store from PrimeLister                       |

### Connect more Mercari stores

One PrimeLister account can manage several stores, so you never need a second PrimeLister account. To automate a second Mercari store, raise the number of stores on your Mercari Automation plan, then connect it. Each store gets its own automations and settings.

1. Open **Account > Plans & Billing** and click **Update Plan**. On a free trial, click **Subscribe Now**.
2. Move the **How many Mercari shops do you have?** slider to the number of stores you need. The price updates as you move it. Then subscribe.
3. Open [My Shops](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/my-shops) and click **Connect Additional Shops**.
4. Switch between your stores with the store menu at the top right, next to **Help**.

Need more than 10 stores? There is no upper limit. Chat with our team in the [PrimeLister app](https://app.primelister.com) and we add them to your plan.

**Mercari Automation connects Mercari stores only.** Want to automate a Poshmark closet, an eBay store or a Depop store too? Add that marketplace's automation plan in the same PrimeLister account.

## Step 2: Turn on your automations

### Open Automations

Go to the [Automations page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/settings). After you connect, **every automation is off**.

### Check the settings

Click the gear icon next to an automation to set it up. See [Mercari automations](/mercari-automation/mercari-automations.md) for every setting.

### Switch it on

Click **Enable** at the bottom of the settings, or switch its toggle on. You see **Re-list automation successfully enabled** and the badge changes to **Enabled**.

## Step 3: Check your activity

Open the [Activity page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/activity). If tasks show up, your automations are working.

See how many **Re-list** and **Offer to Likers** tasks ran. Pick **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Since Yesterday**, **Last 7 Days**, **Last 14 Days**, **Last 30 Days**, **Last 365 Days** or a **Custom Range**.

### Completed

See each completed task with its listing and time. Filter by **All Activities**, **Re-list** or **Offer to Likers**.

No. Mercari Automation runs in PrimeLister's cloud, 24/7. You do not need the Chrome extension, and your automations keep running when your browser, computer or phone is off.

Yes. <summary>Why does PrimeLister need my Mercari password?</summary>

PrimeLister signs in to your store for you in a secure cloud browser, just like you sign in on mercari.com. Your password is stored encrypted, and Mercari sends the verification code to you, not to PrimeLister.

<summary>Why do I have to remove my Mercari passkey?</summary>

With a passkey, Mercari asks for your device's Face ID, fingerprint or PIN instead of your password. PrimeLister cannot approve that on your device, so the sign-in stops. Remove the passkey, then connect again.

<summary>Will Re-list remove my likes?</summary>

Yes. Re-list creates a brand new listing, so likes start from zero. To protect listings that already have likes, turn on **Filter by number of likes** in Re-list settings. See [Mercari automations](/mercari-automation/mercari-automations.md).

<summary>Can I connect more than one Mercari store?</summary>

Yes, in the same PrimeLister account. Raise the number of stores with **Update Plan** on **Account > Plans & Billing**, then click **Connect Additional Shops**. See [Connect more Mercari stores](#connect-more-mercari-stores).

<summary>Can I connect my Poshmark closet, eBay store or Depop store to Mercari Automation?</summary>

No. Mercari Automation connects Mercari stores only. Add Poshmark Automation, eBay Automation or Depop Automation to the same PrimeLister account for those marketplaces.

<summary>How do I pause Mercari Automation?</summary>

Switch the automation's toggle off on the [Automations page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/mercari/settings), then click **Disable** to confirm. Your settings stay saved for when you switch it back on.

<summary>What happens when my free trial ends?</summary>

The trial simply ends and you are not charged. Your store and settings stay in PrimeLister. Subscribe any time to continue. See [Free trial](/getting-started/free-trial.md).
