# Get started with eBay Automation

Set up eBay Automation in 3 steps. Connect your eBay store, turn on Re-create and Offer to Watchers, and check your activity. $15 per month, 7-day free trial.

eBay Automation keeps your eBay store active 24/7. It re-creates listings so they show up fresh in search, and sends offers to people watching your items.

**Your computer can be off.** eBay Automation runs in PrimeLister's cloud 24/7. You do not need the Chrome extension, an open browser tab or the app running. Closing your browser or turning off your computer or phone does not stop your automations.

**eBay Automation is its own subscription.** It is not included in Crosslister Tool, Poshmark Automation, Depop Automation or Mercari Automation. Crosslister Tool lists your items **on** eBay. eBay Automation keeps them **active** once they are there.

## Before you start

## Step 1: Connect your eBay store

### Open Shops and click Connect Shop

Go to the [Shops page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/ebay/my-shops) in eBay Automation and click **Connect Shop**.

### Select your eBay country

Under **Select eBay Country**, pick the eBay site your store sells on, for example **eBay (US)**, **eBay (GB)** or **eBay (CA)**. Click **View more eBay marketplaces** if yours is not listed. Then click **Connect to eBay**.

### Sign in on eBay and approve

eBay opens. Sign in with your eBay seller account and approve PrimeLister. You type your password on eBay, never in PrimeLister.

### Check that it says Connected

You see **eBay shop successfully connected** and your store shows on the Shops page with a **Connected** badge.

**Your account stays safe.** You sign in on eBay itself and approve PrimeLister there, so your password stays with eBay. You can disconnect your store any time. See [Account safety](/getting-started/account-safety.md).

### Manage your stores

Your store shows on the [Shops page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/ebay/my-shops) with its eBay site, for example **eBay (US)**, and a **Connected** badge. To remove a store, click the three-dot menu on it and choose **Remove Shop**.

### Connect more eBay stores

One PrimeLister account can manage several stores, so you never need a second PrimeLister account. To automate a second eBay store, raise the number of stores on your eBay Automation plan, then connect it. Each store gets its own automations and settings.

1. Open **Account > Plans & Billing** and click **Update Plan**. On a free trial, click **Subscribe Now**.
2. Move the **How many eBay shops do you have?** slider to the number of stores you need. The price updates as you move it. Then subscribe.
3. Open the [Shops page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/ebay/my-shops) and click **Connect Additional Shops**.
4. Switch between your stores with the store menu at the top right, next to **Help**.

Need more than 10 stores? There is no upper limit. Chat with our team in the [PrimeLister app](https://app.primelister.com) and we add them to your plan.

**eBay Automation connects eBay stores only.** Want to automate a Poshmark closet, a Depop store or a Mercari store too? Add that marketplace's automation plan in the same PrimeLister account.

## Step 2: Turn on your automations

### Open Automations

Go to the [Automations page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/ebay/settings). After you connect, **every automation is off**.

### Check the settings

Click the gear icon next to an automation to set it up. See [eBay automations](/ebay-automation/ebay-automations.md) for every setting.

### Switch it on

Click **Enable** at the bottom of the settings, or switch its toggle on. You see **Re-create automation successfully enabled** and the badge changes from **Disabled** to **Enabled**.

## Step 3: Check your activity

Open the [Activity page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/ebay/activity). If tasks show up, your automations are working.

See how many **Re-create** and **Offer to Watchers** tasks ran. Pick **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Since Yesterday**, **Last 7 Days**, **Last 14 Days**, **Last 30 Days**, **Last 365 Days** or a **Custom Range**.

### Completed

See each completed task with its listing and time. Filter by **All Activities**, **Re-create** or **Offer to Watchers**.

**Just changed a setting?** Stats may be inaccurate for up to 24 hours after a change.

**No activity yet?** Re-create runs only in the **Re-creating Hours** you turned on. Offer to Watchers sends offers only on listings that have watchers.

<summary>Do I need to keep my computer or browser open?</summary>

No. eBay Automation runs in PrimeLister's cloud, 24/7. You do not need the Chrome extension, and your automations keep running when your browser, computer or phone is off.

<summary>Does PrimeLister see my eBay password?</summary>

No. You sign in on eBay itself and approve PrimeLister. eBay then lets PrimeLister work with your store, without your password.

<summary>Does Re-create cost anything on eBay?</summary>

Every re-created listing counts toward your eBay monthly selling limits and may add insertion fees, the same as a listing you create yourself. Check your eBay plan before you raise the **Hourly Re-create limit**.

<summary>Will Re-create remove my watchers?</summary>

Yes. Re-create makes a brand new listing on eBay, so watchers start from zero. To protect listings that already have watchers, turn on **Filter by number of watchers of listing** in Re-create settings. See [eBay automations](/ebay-automation/ebay-automations.md).

<summary>Can I connect more than one eBay store?</summary>

Yes, in the same PrimeLister account. Raise the number of stores with **Update Plan** on **Account > Plans & Billing**, then click **Connect Additional Shops**. See [Connect more eBay stores](#connect-more-ebay-stores).

<summary>Can I connect my Poshmark closet, Depop store or Mercari store to eBay Automation?</summary>

No. eBay Automation connects eBay stores only. Add Poshmark Automation, Depop Automation or Mercari Automation to the same PrimeLister account for those marketplaces.

<summary>How do I pause eBay Automation?</summary>

Switch the automation's toggle off on the [Automations page](https://app.primelister.com/automations/ebay/settings), then click **Disable** to confirm. Your settings stay saved for when you switch it back on.

<summary>What happens when my free trial ends?</summary>

The trial simply ends and you are not charged. Your store and settings stay in PrimeLister. Subscribe any time to continue. See [Free trial](/getting-started/free-trial.md).
